Nova Southeastern University offers several of its degree programs through Online/distance education delivery systems. At Nova Southeastern University, Online/distance education refers to classes delivered at or to sites outside the Fort Lauderdale area. For example, classes held at cluster sites in Dade or Palm Beach counties, as well as sites in another state or country, are considered distance education sites.
The modes of instructional delivery for classes off-campus do not necessarily differ from those used on-campus. Many of the University's distance education classes use the traditional classroom setting. Others use telecommunication technologies exclusively, or in combination with a classroom setting. In addition, distance education students have access to educational support services through the Davie Campus, such as the electronic library, the Internet, and computer software on central servers.

The School of Continuing Studies was established in 1975 and is one of the largest distance education providers in the United States.

Programs
The school offers
two undergraduate degrees in general studies (both available online)
one graduate degree in adult education (available online with one required on-campus weekend)
more than 195 university courses and more than 100 high school courses, many of them online

Students can complete the SCS degrees, courses, and diploma entirely at home.
