Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2021

Applications are open for the Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2021-22 at Columbia University, New York.

The Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University is a full-time, fully-funded leadership development program that brings together rising leaders from the United States and around the world who have demonstrated a commitment to finding solutions to challenges in their communities, countries, and regions. Over the course of an academic year at Columbia University, Obama Foundation Scholars deepen their knowledge and skills and build new capacities and networks to accelerate their impact in their home countries.

Upon completion of the program, Obama Foundation Scholars, empowered by their experience, return to the regions where they have been working and continue along a path of service.

Since 2018, the Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University has welcomed:

  • 34 rising leaders from 29 countries who have demonstrated a commitment to finding solutions to challenges in their communities, countries, and regions
  • Scholars who were, on average, 35 years of age, with ages ranging from 25 to 45
  • Emerging institutional and movement leaders addressing a range of challenges, including strengthening governance, increasing access to high-quality healthcare, environmental sustainability, and promoting women’s rights and ending gender-based violence

Complete the online application form  for the 2021-2022 Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University by February 5, 2021 at 5:00PM ET. Any applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

RSM US Foundation First Generation Scholarships

The RSM US Foundation will award five students with a $10,000 scholarship per academic year for up to three years, for a total of up to $30,000 per scholarship.

The Foundation is granting $50,000 in scholarships for the 2021/2022 academic year.

The program is open only to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) who are at least 18 years old as of the date of application. Applicants must be:

  • A freshman, sophomore, or junior with no immediate family members who have received a bachelor’s degree
  • Studying business or technology in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • A full-time student in good standing at their college/university, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 
  • Monday, Jan. 11, 2021—application period begins
  • Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 (11:59 p.m. Central time)—application period closes
  • April 2021—5 recipients selected and notified
  • June 2021—initial payments made to recipients’ universities for 2021/2022 academic

InspirASIAN Scholarships 2021

InspirASIAN makes a difference in our community by supporting graduating high school seniors with their college education through our scholarship awards. InspirASIAN awards national scholarships to students residing in any state with a participating local InspirASIAN chapter. All students who apply will be considered for the national scholarships awards. Students who are not awarded national scholarships will be considered for state scholarships if offered by local InspirASIAN chapters.

Applicants must meet ALL of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing (minimum unweighted cumulative GPA 3.40 on 4-point scale), of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited college or university (2-year and 4-year) in Fall 2021.
  • Citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
  • Residents of one of the following states where we currently have participating InspirASIAN chapters: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.

Students interested in applying will need to complete the Scholarship Application that includes a student essay. The completed application will need to be uploaded through our Online submission page.

All applications are due before January 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST. Students who make it into the final round will also be required to send in an official high school transcript.

The Henry Luce Foundation has invited 75 colleges, and universities and students are invited to participate in the Luce Scholars Program. The nominating institutes may submit three nominations annually. Interested candidates who are not affiliated with a nominating institution are eligible to apply. The graduating seniors, recent graduates and young professionals under the age of 30 who are US Citizens or permanent residents and have received at least a bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

The Luce Scholar program intends to provide an immersion experience in Asia for an outstanding group of young American students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to come to know Asia intimately. The Scholars Program is designed to grant financial assistance to help students fulfil their dreams. The program encourages students to learn about Asia and take Asia-focused courses.

The Henry Luce Foundation, a private, independent foundation, is a not-for-profit corporation operating under the State of New York laws. The Foundation was established in 1936. Henry Luce Foundation has invested in knowledge makers and ensured that their work informs the public discussion. The Henry Luce Foundation seeks to enrich public discourse by promoting innovative scholarship, cultivating new leaders, and fostering international understanding.

The candidate excited to apply and avail the Luce Scholarship must apply online. The candidates are required to start the Application Process by following the guidelines given.
