The government of Angola is setting up two new training centres, one for technologies and the other for civil engineering.
Cinfotec - the Centre Intégré de formation Technologique - will be a high-level institution for training professionals in applied technologies, offering courses in sectors including information and communication technologies, mechanical engineering and production, metrology and electronics.
It will also provide expertise for companies, keep industries and research centres updated and develop and enlarge the market in new technologies, said the agency.
Cenfoc, the Centre de Formation Professionnelle de Construction Civile, will provide vocational courses to train skilled workers in quality control, topography, technical drawing, and for specialised technicians in such sectors as building maintenance, road building, and electrical, plumbing and carpentry trades. It will teach technical skills and ethical codes of practice, said the agency.
