Created more than 25 years ago, Vatel, International Business School Hotel & Tourism Management, trains the future operational and senior managers of the hospitality and tourism industry. Recognised by top representatives of the hotel industry, the school is renowned thanks to an internationally-oriented teaching concept and a balance between academic theory and professional practice. Studying abroad is an important decision to make, all the more so as it entails financial means. This is why Vatel favours a complete openness regarding fees so that, before you come, you can plan the budget of your studies.
- All the expenses are scheduled: admission fees, tuition fees, board and lodging, social security, insurance and uniform.
- The internships carried out every year are paid and a contract is signed between Vatel and the hotel. You can therefore be sure what amount you can earn.
- The cost of each programme is mentioned on the enclosed form. Please note that meritorious international students
can apply for scholarships for Bachelor Degree, Master Degree and International MBA programmes.

Your international experience develops throughout your internships:
Internships are selected by Vatel and they are an integral part of your training. They give you the opportunity to apply theoretical teaching in real situation, to be faced with the realities of the business world and to prepare yourself for the job you intend to go into. They are real professional experiences and the internship carried out at the end of your programme is a good launching pad for working life. In the first year, your internship necessarily takes place in France. As from the second year, whatever your nationality and in accordance with each country's law, you can go to the European Union member country of your choice thanks to the opening of borders between states located within the Schengen* space.

Created in 1989, Vatel Nimes welcomes more than 700 students from 45 different nationalities. Originating from 5 continents, they live, study, communicate, share their culture and work together. The school campus is a 14.000 m2 space including two buildings linked by a footbridge. One of the building houses practical training facilities, the other houses theoretical teaching facilities, a 200 room student residence and the cafeteria.

Vatel Nimes offers 3 different degrees that are taught in English and that cater to a student's educational level and professional experience. All of these are double degrees where students can obtain a European Degree as well as a French National University Degree :

The Student Service Centre is at your service as soon as you arrive and all along your stay on the campus
The Student Service Centre offers a wide range of services and information to students. In order to facilitate the personal and academic integration of international students into Vatel and more particularly into Nimes, the Student Service Centre provides tailored services and activities.
- Orientation week with assistance on all administrative procedures: how to open a bank account and apply for a student residency permit
- Introduction to the French way of life and helpful information about the city of Nimes
- Guided tour of the old city of Nimes and its surroundings
- Counselling service to assist students with any personal or academic issues that may arise

Leisure activities organised :
The student committee is very active and organise thematic events gathering all the students in a very festive atmosphere:
- integration week-end,
- world cooking gala,
- Chinese New Year,
- skiing outings,
- visits to Disney Resort Paris,
- cultural trips to European capitals,
- visiting vineyards and tasting,

Accommodation
Vatel Nimes ensures accommodation and meals during the academic studies.

During the internship semester, free food and accommodation are provided by the hotel where students are doing their internship(s).
